Collecting Our First Books!
When Luca was diagnosed with Speech Sound Disorder, SSD, our family struggled to find clear, useful information to help us understand SSD and to find resources to support his therapy at home. After attending a coffee morning with other parents in March 2023, we realized many other parents faced similar struggles. Four years after Luca was first diagnosed the resources were still not available. This shared experience sparked a determination to take action and create change. We said we could do it, and look we did.
Our first book, which centers on the "squ" sound, features characters inspired by the children of those parents who came together that day: Luca, Savannah, and Caoimhin. We are committed to continuing this journey, with plans for future books that will include characters based on other children attending intensive therapy. These books are created in collaboration with parents, therapists and children, this makes them truly unique.
